The background was quilted with a light blue variegated thread with little loopies.

This blog is intended as a bulletin board to show the quilts I've been making on my vintage and treadle sewing machines. My husband and I collect antique and vintage sewing machines and I use them to make all my quilts. Here are some of the results.

It's a lovely quilt, and you did an amazing job!
It's nice to see your spotty baby quilt on your blog:) I have seen it for a while so this means that the quilt is at the baby's home?
I think it looks great :)

And HEY!! I can recognize 1 or 2 of my fabrics, in there!!! *VBG*

Hey... I think I recognize a couple of the "dotties"... LOL.
Very nice baby quilt and great pics.

like this quilt very much!! Wish I could do a one like this one day!!: )
Start collecting polka dots Sew Mad LOL! That's what took the longest...getting enough different polka dotted fabrics together.
I love this quilt and it would be perfect for my neice and her new baby. My neice is "dot" and circle crazy. I have lots of dot fabric and this is just the pattern. I have been trying to locate the pattern on Fons and Porter's website. Could you help me with the name that was used in the magazine or the issue it was it? Thanks so much. I am looking forward to reading all your back posts as I have just recently found your blog. I love it too! I am fairly new to quilting, but have been sewing all my life!
Hi there 'grapenutquilter'. You have your comments set to no reply, so I can't reply to your comment...hopefully, you will see this. I googled the curved templates and here is one website:
http://www.heyquilty.com/content_downloads/BAGG_CurvedSeams.pdf
Hope this works...you can trace the templates or order this set from Fons & Porter. The pattern was in a Fons & Porter magazine, but I have no idea which one. Try google images and see what comes up for colour ideas. In the March/April 2004 issue of F & P, there is another pattern for a wallhanging "Around the Bend". The templates are called "Fons & Porter's Curved Seam Template Set". HOpe this helps. Email if you want to brainstorm more ideas!
Thank You so much! I am new to this blog stuff too, and am not sure how the "no reply" got set or how to fix it! Just wasn't sure what size blocks or boarders. Thanks again!
