H 11 Piercing Rays
This turned out to be a two DJ block week :-). This block is H 11 Piercing Rays my 35th one. I hand pieced this one using this wavy striped fabric...almost made me dizzy working with it, but it turned out cool! We had a get together at fellow guild member Nancy Rose's house last night. We had a great time stitching, drinking tea and eating cookies and inspiring a couple new girls to start the DJ quilt. I think we convinced them :-).

Nancy Rose has got to be the greatest hostess and mentor for sewing, always willing to share a tip or laugh with you at your silly mistakes. I've only just begun quilting and have appreciated her help immensely.
I continue to eww and ahh over the "Dear Jane" blocks however I haven't yet the confidence to tackle such a demanding project.
Keep up the FANTASTIC work!!!

Jacqui, I just love your block! That fabric is perfect and so is your hand-piecing!!! I think Piercing Rays has been my all-time favorite block! I use it in DJ swaps all the time!!! Cheers! Mary Ann
