This blog is intended as a bulletin board to show the quilts I've been making on my vintage and treadle sewing machines. My husband and I collect antique and vintage sewing machines and I use them to make all my quilts. Here are some of the results.

Placemats for Meals on Wheels
One of the small quilting groups I belong to has a project going where each member makes two placemats which will go out with the Meals on Wheels program sometime this fall. I had a package of charm squares which made two placemats exactly. The leaves are appliqued by machine.
What a wonderful idea! Sure to bring cheer to someone's meal. We started a quilt group last year and some of our members have never ever sewed (oh, but they are getting very skilled by now!). Easy patterns are favored and it is fun to see everyone's success! I will suggest placemats as a project. Cheers! Evelyn
